Blind Date with a Book

This is a concept I adopted at book signings and it seems to have taken off! At my most recent signing in Sheffield, there was so much interest from readers and authors alike and it’s proven to be sooo popular.

You don’t know what the cover looks like, basically all you get is a few key words telling you what the brown package you’re buying generally contains. You go in blind, with no expectations, and I think this is something that really works for people with a healthy interest in the unknown who are willing to take a risk!

As I’m not doing another signing in a while now, I’ve decided to sell my BDWAB’s on a more regular basis – so if there’s anything below you fancy, send me an email smlpublishinguk@gmail.com and I can invoice through PayPal.

Thanks to everyone who came to my table in Sheffield and chatted, bought books or generally enquired what it is that I actually write about. This is, in a way, why I started the Blind Dates – because I write so many different books, these little packages help people see without me going on and on about plots, while trying not to give away numerous spoilers, and/or generally tell you the whole thing before you’ve even dived in! It really is getting hard to define what genre I’m most known for – I guess proper stories with steamy scenes covers a lot of bases but not all.

So, here’s what you can choose from. As I said, mail me, message me on FB or Instagram and we can arrange payment, then I will mail out one or more of these beauties to you (prices not inclusive of P&P).

Happy browsing!

Lots of “blind date with a book” packages have gone out to readers this week and I’m so pleased they’re already getting stuck in, so to speak!

The above image shows the packages I have left: prices include P&P within the UK (as a special offer) because I need to clear out my office! Please contact me via FB message or through my contact form or via email sarahm.lynch@yahoo.co.uk if you’d like to purchase a book or two. Payment can be made via Paypal.

You’ll see on my website that I have an area for readers to buy signed books – you can order anything you like from there, but you won’t get as good a deal as you will ordering the Blind Date books! Readers familiar with my work will be able to work out which package contains what.

If you didn’t make Leeds . . .

Leeds Book Signing

I was signing books last weekend and I was lucky to be doing so! Lots of other authors and lots of readers, too simply couldn’t make the event due to snow! How annoying when spring seems to have swept its way in this week (at least for us). Anyhow we made the most of the day and really enjoyed ourselves (see my Instagram for pics).

If you didn’t make the event, you can order signed books from me anytime. I sell them year-round from this website and all you need to do is visit this page: https://sarahmichellelynch.com/events/

Alternatively you can message me on FB any time or email me with your request for signed books, using: smlpublishinguk@gmail.com. I take payment through Paypal, but you don’t even need a Paypal account. You can pay a Paypal invoice using any debit/credit card.

POEMS REVS

Our poetry book, raising money for Make A Wish, did splendidly last weekend and even reached #1 in new poetry releases on the Amazon US charts. If you’d like to specifically order a copy of the poetry books, please fill out this form.

I very much doubt I will be making it to another signing this year as I am very busy writing/editing and planning a house move, but fingers crossed I will be attending a few signings next year.

There are lots of exciting things in the pipeline so please keep your eyes peeled!

Leeds Book Signing, 2018

I am pleased and excited to announce that I’ll be attending the Leeds Signing Event on March 3rd next year. That’s a Saturday! So put it into your calendars and be there.

As you can see there are lots of authors signing on the day and there will probably be some even attending as readers – so do not miss out! There is also a 1920s themed ball in the evening, which all being well, I will be attending.

I am super excited to be working with the enthusiastic ladies behind Hourglass, which is the team behind this event and two events I attended previously (Peterborough 2015 and Leeds 2016).

York White Rose Book Signing – and if you didn’t manage to make the trip . . .

How has it already been and gone? The White Rose Book Signing passed by in the blink of an eye but was a very enjoyable day nonetheless! I am so rubbish at getting pictures. At some signings I get loads but at others, I just seem to forget! Anyway, this is one of the few piccies I got:

IMG_20170513_110034_825

I had some brilliant table neighbours including Melody Winter and NM Silber, plus I met a lot of people I’d only previously conversed with online, so it’s great to put faces to names finally! The day had a really great atmosphere overall and was very smoothly run by the brilliant team behind the event (L Chapman, Krissy V, Jennifer, Samantha and numerous others helpers and volunteers).

I did unfortunately sell out of some books on the day, and I know that some readers had tickets but couldn’t make it, or were unable to visit for other reasons. Though I do love signing and handing the books to readers in person, I know we’re all spread far and wide and it’s not always possible for readers to join our events.

Never fear, you can get signed books from me anytime. Just visit my form and I’ll wing some signed books to you, lovingly packaged up and stuffed with goodies. Visit THIS FORM for more details on how to order and pay.

I guess it’s back to writing then now…

p.s. Might have some new material for this event, too!!

A new year, new books . . .

dark-background-with-golden-numbers-for-new-year_1035-54382017 is here!

2016 is out… and a new year is definitely in. I don’t really believe in new year’s resolutions because any time is a chance to make changes but I think I’ll definitely be eating beans on toast a few times in January to combat all the rich food I’ve enjoyed over the festive period! I spent a fair few days with my husband and daughter lounging around in pyjamas, ate loads of mince pies and drank plenty of nice drinks. Whatever you did, I hope it was a good one!

2017 is a massive year for the city of Hull, which I live on the outskirts of. Hull is UK City of Culture this year and things kicked off with a massive fireworks display and an installation called Made in Hull (see image). I’ve featured Hull in one or two of my books (click here) and it’s an exciting time for our area. We already have our tickets for The Hypocrite starring Mark Addy and Caroline Quentin!! Hopefully I’ll be able to sneak out of the writing cave to enjoy a few afternoons of culture this year.

20170102_170224

In 2016 I published five novels and edited a few others for clients, too. It was a busy and productive year but there is much more yet to come!

Fans of the Nightlong Series will be pleased to know I will be publishing another Nightlong book in April this year. The third instalment is called The Risk and more details will be available very soon, including pre-order etc. The Risk is the last book in the series and has been completed but is now being edited. I was going to write four books in total but three seems more appropriate and will pack more of a punch. Besides, I have a fair few WIPs in the queue waiting to be written.

After The Risk, I hope to release at least two more novels this year. I don’t like telling people about what I’m writing until I’m entirely sure I can write the whole thing (and that the idea works) but I am happy to give some vague details . . .

After writing several erotic stories with thrilling elements, I’m working on a story of contemporary fiction featuring a very unique and different pairing. It’s going to be emotional and soul-enriching.

I am also working on another spin-off to the Sub Rosa series featuring a character we’ve already met. In fact I’ve got several Sub Rosa spin-offs queued up but some of them will need me to be in a certain mood to write them.

I also have a few secret projects (exciting) in the works but I’m keeping these under my hat until something comes of them.

To keep up to date with details on The Risk, either follow this blog or subscribe to my newsletter here. The Risk will draw a number of threads together and deliver a very satisfying ending, but I won’t pretend the journey there will be easy.

Don’t forget to check out Break the Cycle, my latest charity anthology. You can order signed copies from this website. In fact you can order any of my books – signed – from this site! Check out the section (above).

So it’s back to the writing cave I go . . .

Stay warm and safe,

Sarah x x
